Position Overview:
As the Chamber Coordinator, you will be the face of our organization, representing the interests of our local business owners and employers. This multifaceted role requires you to be a proactive advocate, an effective communicator, and an organized project manager. You will work closely with the Board, Membership, and various committees to ensure the success of Chamber projects, events, and initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
Administrative/Financial Duties:

Collaborate with the Board and Membership to organize and manage bills, payments, and vendors for Chamber events and projects.

Oversee the maintenance of the Chamber office space/building.
-
Drive the Chamber's online presence by maintaining social media accounts and the chamber website.

Manage Chamber finances in collaboration with the Treasurer and Board, including preparing monthly and yearly financial reports.

Handle the inventory and sales of merchandise available to the public.

Demonstrate proficiency in Google Suite, Microsoft Office, and Excel.

Fulfill additional responsibilities as directed by the Board of Directors.

Serve as the coordinator of the Tourism Committee, facilitating monthly meetings, notifying the City in advance, and ensuring accurate meeting minutes.

Maintain organized records and information related to Tourism Grants.

Identify potential operational, project, and event-based grants through the Grant Watch database.
Member Relations:
-
Drive membership growth and retention within the Prescott Area Chamber of Commerce.

Recruit and provide support for volunteers participating in Chamber Events.

Collaborate with the Board and Ambassadors to promote, connect, and serve Chamber members while actively recruiting new members.

Identify and secure speakers for monthly Chamber meetings to address members' needs.

Organize and facilitate meetings for Chamber members, ambassadors, and the Board.
-
Take a proactive role in fundraising, solicitation, and sales efforts to support programs and overhead expenses.

Build strong relationships and effective communication channels with Chamber of Commerce Board and Members, city government, business owners, schools, organizations, and community members.

Represent the Chamber in local and state meetings and organizations.
Event Planning and Organizing:

Organize and plan events and meetings that enhance Chamber membership and attract new members.

Collaborate closely with Committee chairs and board members to lead events and regular activities.

Evaluate event outcomes, presenting data on attendance, budgets, community engagement, volunteer management, and potential areas for improvement.

Play a pivotal role in organizing the Prescott Daze Parade.

Strategically promote Chamber events and members through social media platforms and the website.
-
Attend Chamber events, capturing captivating photos for use on the website, social media, and other publications.
Qualifications:

Strong organizational skills and ability to manage time effectively.

Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
-
Proficiency in digital tools such as Google Suite, Microsoft Office, and various social media platforms.

Event planning and coordination experience is advantageous.

A solid understanding of business and community organization dynamics.

Self-motivated and capable of working independently.
-
Comfortable representing the Chamber in diverse settings and forums.
